On the hardest difficulty settings, with the driver aids turned off, tiny mistakes will send you ploughing into gravel traps. It is, purely and simply, a racing simulator. There are no IAPs, no wait-timers, and no currencies. Some will find this on the expensive side, however, with everything on offer I feel it is priced well. At 29.99/34.99 it is definitely up there with the more premium titles.
The game fits into the same genre as the likes of Real Racing 3, but there's a big difference here. GRID Autosport is by far the most realistic and feature complete racing simulator on the Nintendo Switch thus far, (apart from multiplayer). But GRID Autosport is thrilling whether you're leading the pack or trying to barge your way through it.
